Bioshock PS3 officially dated

‘Genetically enhanced’ version confirmed for release worldwide at the end of October

2K Games has just officially finalised the release date for Bioshock on PS3 – it’ll arrive in North America on October 21st, closely followed by its international release on October 24th. The PlayStation 3 version follows on from the critical and sales success of the Xbox 360 version, and contains all-new content that “augments and extends the experience in exciting ways,” according to 2K Games.“We are proud to introduce 2K Games' showcase title, BioShock, to an entirely new audience,” said president of 2K Christoph Hartmann.“With the addition of the new add-on game content we are able to extend the award-winning adventure while maintaining the perfect harmony that millions of players around the world have fallen in love with.”

Among the new featrures are a ‘Survivor’ difficulty mode, Trophy support and the addition of new ‘Challenge Rooms,’ which will test the mettle of new and seasoned gamers by requiring them to utilize the knowledge and skills they have learned while traversing the halls of Raptur

Thanks for sharing this info. I expected Bioshock to be released on the PS3 around that time, but I wasn't expecting that much additional content. I'm really looking forward to this, especially since I didn't get the chance to play it on the 360.

If you don't have both of the systems, you might want to check out this Stacker 2 6 Hour Power t-shirt design contest going on where you could win the system of your choice, a year's supply of 6 Hour Power energy shots, ten t-shirts with your design on it, and a copy of the game Rise of the Argonauts. There are less than 200 entrants right now so chances of winning are pretty decent. Check out the contest details here: http://www.brickfish.com/Entertainment/Stacker2?tab=overview
